Couple Costume: “Tell Me About It, Stud”

As soon as I heard that the party was a go, I instantly started brainstorming costume ideas. A few weeks ago I was scrolling through Pinterest (make sure to follow me) to look for a couples costume idea. The only one that really interested me, was the Sandy and Danny costume idea from Grease. I just like how simple and easy the outfit is! The hair took me a little longer than I anticipated just because I have long, thick, heavy hair. I had to take really small pieces and make the curls super tight and short. Once my hair was all curled I pinned the longer pieces up underneath a layer of my hair to make it just a little bit shorter. Since Sandy didn’t have straight up ringlets like I did, I tried to separate the curls and tease each curl to make it frizzy. This helped my hair look bigger and have more volume and body to it. I had a deep side part, and pinned the other side of my hair back, then hair sprayed like crazy. The makeup was really easy since it was just a black smokey eye with a bright red lip! I used a super cheap Wet and Wild lipstick and it worked just fine! It actually lasted all night, I had a pretty hard time taking it off! For my outfit my mom luckily had some leather leggings she bought from Nordstrom (perks of having a mom that wears the same size and has cute taste in clothes). For the top I had a black, off the shoulder, long sleeve bodysuit from Forever21 that worked perfectly. My red heels I borrowed from my best friend and she got them a few years back, but any red shoes would do for this look! I wore gold hoops that I got from Nordstrom on sale for $5! And I’m honestly going to wear them all the time because hoops are my jam. For Andy’s look, all he needed was an all black outfit and then we just rolled up his sleeves. To go with the style of this look, I gave him a little bit of side burns with some eyebrow makeup! He put an immense amount of gel in his hair to make it look nice and greasy and slicked back. This was a super easy, but great couple costume and we received a ton of compliments! The Halloween party was so much fun and my entire family went all out with their costumes which was great!
